Following up on the launch in PCB, the Skullcandy team headed to Los Angeles to meet up with pro skaters Sean Malto and Trevor Colden to bring the #grindhookup to kids throughout LA.
The #grindhookup bus started out at Stoner Park in Venice, threw an impromptu demo session and skate contest to see which kids had what it took to get on the bus and get the surprise hookup from Skullcandy. Another stop at Hollenbeck Park near downtown LA hosted a bigger crowd as word started to get out that Sean and Trevor were out looking for kids to hook up kids with an epic experience.
With all 10 kids on the bus, Skullcandy surprised them with an all access experience at the private skate park to the pros, The Berrics. The kids got welcomed by Steve Berra himself, and hooked up with tons of Skullcandy products, and Berrics skate gear and signed posters. Berra then invited everyone to watch a contest that was being shot in the park, while they gorged on free food and cold drinks. Then it was time to grab their decks and have a once-in-a-lifetime skate session with Sean, Trevor, Steve and the other pros.
